You can do it too...

Nothing is impossible, once you have decided to do it. We would like to help you to achieve your dreams when it comes to producing your own custom parts, or your customers parts, in a more efficient way.

In order to do so we have now started classes in Sheet Metal Fabrication Workshop in California. These classes have already been proven for several years in Sweden.

In these classes you will learn ( by 95 % hands-on ) the technique developed by Lazze in Sweden. This is the technique which made it possible for students to copy and build a car body in aluminum in the Step-2 Classes.

Most of the students ( 70 % ) are pure amateurs - but the work... JUST TAKE A LOOK and judge it your self ! ( pictures further down )

The total length of the education is 11 days, divided in three parts:
- First a 3 days Step-1 Class. ( Basic technique in the machines )
- Second a 5 days  Step-2 Class. ( Practice in copying a known shape )
- Third a 3 days Step-3 Class. ( Finishing work on the body - at students request )

In the Step-1 Class you learn Lazze's basic techniques how to use the " Swedish Wheeling Machine " ( English wheel built and designed by Lazze ), the Bead Roller and the Shrinker and Stretcher.
These three machines are the back bone in The Swedes technique.

In the Step-2 Class you will be working on a project car. By copying it into Aluminum you will now learn how to measure and how to put the pieces together. This also includes basic practice in TIG - welding the pieces together.
The Step-2 Class uses the same machine technique that you have already learned in the Step-1 Class, and this is why you need to take the Step-1 Class before signing up for the Step-2 Class. Here you will have a lot of practice and you will gain a deeper knowledge in reading the metal, as you work the sheets, when you are building the Aluminum body.

In the Step-3 Class you learn more about how to smooth out the metal body to minimize the need for bondo. Here you work with hammer and dolly, sander and file. The goal for this Class is to get to the point where NO BONDO is used.

   The Machines:
-
The Bead Roller ( developed and built by Lazze ).
- The Swedish Wheeling Machine ( English wheel developed and built by Lazze ).
- The Shrinker and Stretcher stand, foot operated ( developed and built by Lazze ).
- The Deep throat 4" Shrinker and Stretcher, foot operated ( developed and build by Lazze ).

If you are on your way of buying or building one, or two, of these machines for your own needs. Let me say some short words about these types of machines.

It is much better getting one, when you know how to handle it, then you know what you should expect from the machine, how it should work the metal - and how it should not...
So, save your money ( and time ) until you have learned how the machines work - then you are in a better position to judge what ever machine you are looking for - and what you want to do with the machine !!!
Itīs like buying ( or even building ) a guitar, before and after you know how to play one...

Another great place to learn a lot about sheet metal stuff is at a message board called "Metalshapers". Here is a link to that web site: http://metalshapers.org/
